4/17/2012AEP Ohio Business Incentive Program Award
AEP Ohio Recognizes Interstate Cold Storage, Inc. for their commitment to energy efficiency and the environment by participating in AEP Ohio's savings incentives programs for business. As a result of their leadership they will: Reduce energy usage by 1,753,459 kWh per year, reduce CO2 emissions 1500.6 tons which equals as many as 237 cars off the road per year.

Nine Interstate Cold Storage, Inc. employees are now one year closer to completing a 3 year course at the WFLO Institute held at Georgia Tech. The curriculum takes students through the food industry, supply chain and logistics field, and cold storage warehousing. Interstate Cold Storage, Inc. strives to offer continued education and training for all of its employees.

Russ Borstelman, Napoleon-OH Facility Manager, was highlighted in this month's edition of Frozen and Dairy Buyer. Russ has been with Internstate Cold Storage for 36 years, but was actually highlighted for flying vintage World War II planes at air shows. Frozen & Dairy Buyer Magazine is a bi-monthly publication aimed at helping retailers grow profitable sales of frozen and dairy foods.
3/30/2011Freezer Van Delivery Now Available
Interstate Cold Storage has expanded its delivery capability by adding two Glacier King -20 freezer vans to its fleet. These freezer vans are built on a Sprinter Van chassis, which offers an excellent solution to hot shot runs or special orders. "Scott Parker said, insulated freezer vans allow us to keep our larger semi-trucks on the road, while supporting additional customer needs in a more cost effective manner. Being able to pull-up curb side for a delivery opens up a whole new level of service for us and at more than 18mpg, we just can't go wrong." The Glacier King -20 offers temperatures down to -20 degrees and is available for emergency deliveries until 5:00pm within a specific mile radios.
12/15/2010New Energy Management System
Fort Wayne, IN- Interstate Cold Storage, Inc. has completed the last phases of installation of Logix's Energy Management system in its 5 Midwest warehouses. The Logix system will manage refrigeration energy demand and efficiency, maximizing facility operations. The overall energy efforts include VFD's on all motors, energy efficient lighting and upgrades on all refrigeration controls and systems. "We are working on several energy and facility upgrades resulting in the utmost product safety initiatives for our customers." Says Scott Parker, Interstate's Director of Operations.
